Marcelo Doffo Bio
Marcelo grew up in a small farming community in the central valley of Cordoba, Argentina, where his family, even today, harvests corn and wheat. It was his dream to someday own his own little parcel of land and grow grapes just like the family did in the “Old Country.”
On a visit to relatives in Northern Italy Marcelo found himself fascinated and excited by the idea of growing grapes and producing wine and returned to Temecula eager to “give it a shot.” He started with a bare parcel of land, painstakingly preparing the Soil, trellises and irrigation lines. Marcelo quickly learned just how difficult and rewarding owning and caring for a vineyard could be and with enough perseverance there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome.
After much work and four years of the Doffo vineyard growing faster than available funds, Marcelo was finally able to answer the most asked question: “When can we taste your wine”. Marcelo is very proud to offer his limited wine made with 100% Estate grown grapes.
