Our philosophy

Our philosophy has always been that good winemaking begins in the vineyard. With meticulous care and cultivation we produce intense, rich fruit that truly expresses our commitment towards making world class wines. At Doffo Winery, we prune our vines and thin our grape clusters throughout the growing season to maximize fruit concentration and insure the highest quality in our grapes.

Farming

The quality of the wine really starts with good farming technics that I learned in my early years on the Argentinian Pampas. Growing corn and soy beans We we used some of the same principles as good grape growing such as crop-thining, meticulous handcrafting and minimal irrigation.

"We are all about Our Wine. No weddings, no concerts, just wines."

-Marcelo Doffo

About Doffo Winery

Doffo Winery, outside the tasting room

Slightly off the beaten path, just east of Wilson Creek Winery, in Temecula Valley’s newest wine region lies Doffo Winery. Consisting of a tasting room and historical landmark schoolhouse, Doffo Winery is situated on 10 acres of vineyards giving the property a unique character and country charm. Purchased in 1997 by Marcelo Doffo, here you will find a small vineyard resembling the past and awaiting the future.

Winemaking

At Doffo Winery our focus is on producing small lot, hand crafted wines that we feel represent some of the best varietals in the Temecula Valley wine growing region. We strive to create intensely flavored wines of complex structure, texture and bold, rich frut. Both our wines and winemaking reflect the personality of Temecula’s unique micro climate and our small family vineyard.
